Over the past few months the Animal Science course has been learning about different species of animals as well as their breeds and purposes. The students were able to learn about all of the facets of rabbits and then were able to watch the reproduction cycle in real time. All of the students are now able to enjoy the baby rabbit snuggles when down at the barn. The Advanced Agriculture class also took on the responsibility of caring for the rabbits during the week and weekends. Some of the baby rabbits will now be used for an FFA competition, on May 1st, to complete the life cycle of the meat rabbits. All of the students have worked diligently to be able to apply what they learned in class down at the barn on a weekly basis.

Our Food Service Department recently purchased new tables for the Middle and High School cafeterias. The students now have a nice place to enjoy their meals. The tables are decorated with the Jonesville logo and show off our school colors. A huge thank you to the kitchen staff for helping unload the tables and the maintenance staff for all of the assembling they did. Be sure to check out these new tables the next time you are in the high school or middle school!

Good afternoon Comet families! JCS and the board would like to thank our Williams Elementary PTA for raising over $50,000 to go towards a new playground set for our little Comets! This new piece will replace some of the existing ones we have that are no longer in good shape. We are very grateful for all of their hard work and to everybody that contributed to this very needed cause. Thank you!!!

Good afternoon Comet families! I wanted to give an update on the Athletic Complex project. The JCS school board approved the contractors last night at our board meeting so we are close to getting started! We hope to break ground some time in March. We want to thank our donors again. This is truly a generational gift and we are so very grateful. Go Comets!
